These are pics of river birch bark. I have always found them to be beautiful. We have three in our back yard. The bark can be pulled off and people used to use it for paper long ago. Of course, paper does come from trees! :) I continue to praise the Lord for His differences in His creation. If you walk around enough and really look at things in detail without passing them by you will see how mighty our God is and that none of this happened by chance. They are all designed and you can't have design without a Creator. (click on them to view them larger)

Today at church we had a brass ensemble visit. The music was beautiful and soothing. It rained pretty hard today while we were in church so you can imagine how everyone was being lulled to sleep between the music and rain! There were several songs they performed this morning whose words were so beautiful. Here is one of them as we praise the Lord for all He has done and given.

This song comes from Psalm 150. Verse 6 of that Psalm says - Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.

Praise to the Lord

Praise to the Lord, the Almighty,
the King of Creation!
O my soul, praise Him,
for He is thy health and salvation!
All ye who hear,
Now to his temple draw near;
Join me in glad adoration!

Praise to the Lord!
O let all that is in me adore Him!
All that hath life and breath,
come now with praises before Him!
Let the Amen
Sound from His people again:
Gladly for aye we adore Him.

Praise to the Lord,
who o'er all things so wondrously reigneth,
Shelters thee under His wings,
yea, so gently sustaineth!
Hast thou not seen
How They desires e'er have been
Granted in what He ordaineth?
