All of these pictures are of clematis. I believe they have these furry and hairy looking beginnings before the blooms. It has been quite interesting observing this plant more closely this year. I am learning to value the beauty of something before and after it blooms.

I was sitting here thinking that we grow just like these blooms in the Lord. He makes us beautiful in His time.

I have observed in many flowers that as they die the seeds spread through wind, people, animals, etc. When we "die to self" and allow the Lord to use us we are able to plant the seeds of God's Word in others.

Ephesians 3:17-19 (NASB)

17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love,

18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,

19 and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.

It is a lifetime of learning, changing, and growing but the fruit we bear shows evidence of the Master. I am blessed so much by the things He is showing me this summer. Each day is a new day to learn more about Him.
