Here is one of the ornaments we have always kept from our first Christmas together. We bought our first ornaments at the Eckerd Drug in Cary. Our first tree was not like our tree today, but it holds a special place in my heart... ugly large red bows and all. There are four of these original ornaments remaining. We didn't have a Pinterest or even the internet when we were married so that we could get nifty creative ideas. ha!
As you share memories with your loved ones this Christmas season, remember to hold them fast to your heart just as Mary did when her Christ Child was born. Let us remember the reason for the season and enjoy the true Gift, Jesus Christ.
